Constellation's Pacifico (+15%) and Victoria (+19%), plus Diageo Beer's Guinness (+3%) led growth among top imports thruout 2025 scans. But there's a lengthier list of healthy growth from among import/international brands in NIQ scans too, Bump Williams Consulting highlighted as part of its latest monthly update. Sapporo and Famosa stand out in this group. Sapporo sales grew 18%, $9.5 mil to nearly $63 mil in NIQ data. That's 4th largest gain among all import/international brands in scans, only behind Pacifico (+$110.6 mil), Victoria ($42.6 mil) and Guinness (+$10.1 mil). Sapporo is now a top 10 international brand in tracked off-prem data, surpassing both AB's Estrella Jalisco and MC's Sol, INSIGHTS found separately. (Keep in mind, Sapporo is no longer technically an import in the US since vast majority of Sapporo's US volume is now brewed in the US at Stone's facilities.) Fast-rising Famosa, out of Guatemala, was the 5th largest import/international brand gainer in 2025 scans with sales up 25%, $6.4 mil in 2025 NIQ data. It's now a top 15 import/international brand in scans, passing Molson and Red Stripe last yr.Then too, a coupla smaller Heineken-owned brands, Carta Blanca (+16%) and Prestige (+12%), plus MC's Peroni (+37%) each gained nearly $3 mil in sales last yr in these channels. And Asahi grew 23%, $2.2 mil. Tho again, both Peroni and Asahi no longer technically imports, since they're produced for US mkts in US facilities. Notably, Heineken is associated with several smaller brands on this list including new Beers of Mexico FEMSA pack, counted as its own brand fam, and Paulaner, which it owns minority stake in, up 3.5%. Scottish brand Newcastle was up 11.5%, marking its first yr of growth a decade. Nicaraguan beer brand Tona, now half-owned by Heineken global, posted a 10% gain. Chinese brand Tsingtao, which extended its agreement with Paulaner USA as its exclusive importer last yr, managed to grow nearly 20% off a relatively small base. So Heineken's got some smaller irons in the fire even as several are sold thru separate importers and Heineken, Dos, Tecate, Red Stripe, Amstel remained soft.Germany's Bitburger and Radeberger, Green's gluten-free beers (brewed outta Belgium's De Proef), Duvel's Chouffe, AB's Presidente, and Spain's Daura Damm were other international brands among top 20 international growth in 2025 scans. And BWC highlighted the velocity of Famosa, Prestige, Tona and Presidente in particular. Yet most of the top 20 growth brand fams are still small in US. Other than Pacifico, Guinness and Victoria, all were well under $100 mil in total sales with Sapporo a little over $60 mil, Paulaner and Famosa over $30 mil, Prestige and Carta Blanca over $20 mil, Bitburger over $15 mil, Asahi and Peroni over $10 mil and all others below. Still, the import/international "landscape has shown an impressive depth of health and diversity among countries and/or individual brands within," wrote BWC. Could point to "numerous opportunities that may still be out there when it comes to addressing the ongoing evolution of not only consumer behaviors & preferences, but the demographic makeup of consumers themselves."
