Draft beer posted far healthier sales trends in 2025 BeerBoard channels than other data suggests with volume down just 0.1% and $$ down 1.9%, co shared in its year-end report. The total draft/on-prem picture wasn't nearly this healthy according to Beer Institute data that showed on-prem STRs down 4% thru most of the yr. But BeerBoard is yet another indicator that on-premise/draft outperformed off-premise in 2025. And it's even better when including spirit RTDs with packaged on-prem sales, the latter of which grew nearly 5% by $$ with volume off 0.6%. Tho beer pricing on premise was weaker in these tracked channels with total draft revs nearly 2 pts softer than volume, driven by domestic mainstream and import pricing. The two largest draft beer styles, light lager (+1.4%) and lager (+3%), grew volume and gained most share of draft beer volume in BeerBoard data, with light lagers up 0.5 pts to 43.5 and lagers up 0.4 pts to 22.2. With wheat/hefeweizen posting 3d largest gain, up 0.3 pts, that's over 2/3 of draft beer growing volume and gaining share in BeerBoard channels. Tho the 3d, 4th and 5th largest draft styles &mdash; IPAs, European ales and Belgian wits &mdash; lost the most share with IPAs down most of all, -8.5%, shedding 0.6 pts to 8.1 share. European ales were down 3.5% and shed 0.2 pts to 5.1 share while Belgian wits dipped 2%, lost 0.1 pts to 5 share.Five of the top 6 share-gaining draft brands were lagers or light lagers including Mich Ultra up 1 full pt, Modelo Especial and Pacifico each up 0.3 pts, Busch Light up 0.23 pts and Coors Light up 0.18 pts. That helped put STZ and AB neck and neck as top share gaining cos with STZ up 0.86 pts and AB up 0.84 while MC gained slight share in this dataset. The only non-lager among top brand gains was Guinness, catapulting Diageo Beer up 0.5 share.With craft's top 2 styles among top share losses, craft beer/cider saw volume and $$ decline more than 2% and lost share overall. Tho segment still accounts for 36.4 share of draft volume in BeerBoard data. And beyond beer draft volume slipped 15% off a small base as most of beyond beer's on-prem emphasis is on packaged products.Beyond Beers & NAs Among Top Packaged Brands On Prem While many of the same top draft brands hold top spots among top packaged brands, multiple beyond beer products (malt & spirit-based) and non-alc beers are among the biggest brands in these BeerBoard tracked on-prem channels too. White Claw Black Cherry rose more than 0.1 pts to 2.1 share of packaged beer/RTD volume, making it a top 10 brand overall. That's the largest flavored brand of the pack, but High Noon Sun Sips Pineapple (1.6) and Surfside Iced Tea & Lemonade (0.9) continue to climb the ranks too. And Sun Cruiser Iced Tea & Vodka is now tied with Twisted Tea Original at 0.5 share. On the non-alc side, Heineken 0.0 rose to 2 share of packaged beer/RTDs in BeerBoard channels, #1 non-alc by far and #11 overall. Tho Athletic brand family is bigger all-channel, it's just about half the size of Heineken 0.0 in BeerBoard data.Draft Down 1.4% in Jan; Off 6% for Super Bowl Trends slightly softened in Jan BeerBoard data and saw a steeper drop during Super Bowl, co reported separately. Both domestic and import lagers continued to grow in Jan, largely "at the expense of craft." But total draft beer volume sank 6% during Super Bowl Sunday in these channels. Guinness drove stouts/porters top style share gain. And tho draft lagers slipped too, Mich Ultra, Modelo Especial, Pacifico and Dos Equis posted some of the top brand share gains.
